Frequently Asked Questions

Where do you see clients?

I offer both virtual and in-person sessions.

For in-person sessions, clients are seen in my office in San Francisco. The building with my office has two flights of stairs and no elevator.

For virtual sessions, I use an encrypted, HIPAA-compliant platform that allows you to access the session either through a web browser or through an app.

Do you Take Insurance?

I do not take any insurance directly currently. However, I am happy to provide a superbill upon request that you can submit to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement. I recommend checking with your insurance company about out-of-network reimbursement before beginning therapy. Payment for session is due at the time of the session. Payments can be made with cash, check, credit/debit/HSA/FSA card.

What is your cancellation policy?

My cancellation policy is 48 hours. This means that you will be charged for a full session if a session is canceled less than 48 prior to your scheduled session unless the session is rescheduled for another time in the same calendar week.

How long will therapy last?

Therapy sessions with only one client present are 50 minutes. Therapy sessions with 2 or more clients present are 60 minutes. The length of therapy is unique to each client and the goals decided upon at the beginning. Throughout the therapy, I welcome conversations about what has been helpful, what hasn’t been helpful, and what the future of treatment looks like.
